The Academy will provide a structured environment within which students will investigate multiple topics of science and education relevant to the mission of PFCA (e.g., prairie ecology, watershed processes, etc.). The Academy will engage high school students with professionals from CAFNR’s School of Natural Resources (SNR), Division of Plant Sciences, and Horticulture and Agroforestry Research Center (HARC), the U.S. Forest Service Cooperative Research Unit at MU, the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
