We support the Missouri Department of Conservation’s new MLS-aligned program called Discover Nature Schools. Through this fun and hands-on curriculum, we are bringing students outdoors and closer to nature. We look forward to hosting your group (of 10 or more) at Prairie Fork. To make your appointment, please complete the form, and we will be in touch soon to confirm arrangements for your visit. Please contact us at least one month in advance to schedule an event or to receive further information. As all our activities are outdoors, we recommend scheduling an alternate rain date.
We have six self-guided trails that allow exploration of the different habitats such as prairie, savanna, woodland, forest, wetland, pond & streams that comprise Prairie Fork. Trail maps are available upon confirmation of your appointment.
Facilities at Prairie Fork are primitive, but there are parking areas for buses, outdoor toilet facilities, and a water spigot. Individuals with physical challenges can be accommodated. There is an education building available during inclement weather; however, as our activities are all outdoors, we recommend scheduling an alternate rain date.
